Parameter Tree:
EARTH SCIENCE > CLIMATE INDICATORS > LAND SURFACE/AGRICULTURE INDICATORS > SURFACE MOISTURE INDEX

Definition:
The Surface Moisture Index incorporates remote measures of vegetation
condition coupled with radiometric thermal (temperature) data to
characterize surface moisture conditions. It is mapped using two
primary inputs; vegetation status as depicted by Normalized Difference
Vegetation Index (NDVI) and surface temperature.
