Definition:
Measurement of water temperature taking water's compressibility into
account, provided no heat exchange of the water sample with its
surroundings. This is important because water temperature is
higher under the higher pressure conditions of the deep ocean compared to
the temperature of that same water at the lower pressure conditions of the
ocean surface.
