Abstract:
This database contains a catalogue of geochemical surveys conducted by the
Geological Survey of Canada and its Provincial counterparts. The catalogue currently contains about 500 entries. This represents an estimated 70% of the GSC's data holdings and something less than 50% of the Provincial data holdings. For many surveys, the raw geochemical data are available for download.To compile and make available, basic scientific data on the chemical composition of natural materials across Canada. These data are used by environmental scientists and mineral exploration companies. Anomalous chemical compositions may be indicative of either natural phenomena (typically an effect of the local geology) or anthropogenic disturbance. z39.50s://132.156.34.117:6675/geochem_mrd3_english
