Abstract: Anadyr Water, a “river” of oceanic water originating over the continental slope of the Bering Sea, transports oceanic zooplankton onto the shallow northern shelf and into the Chukchi Sea through western Bering Strait. The oceanic copepods Neocalanus cristatus, N. plumchrus, Eucalanus bungii and Metridia pacifica dominated the biomass of herbivorous zooplankton in Anadyr Water on the Bering-Chukchi ...
