Summary
Abstract:
The dataset holds information on chemical and biological measurements carried
out on lakes, in some instances also their feeder streams, in Ireland by An Foras Forbartha, Environmental Research Unit (ERU), EPA, Local Authorities and Fisheries Boards. It ranges from the relatively intense monitoring carried out on a few lakes to infrequent, once a year, measurements on the majority of lakes. Measurements of dissolved oxygen, temperatures and light penetration of the water column and taken in the field as well as observations at selected lake shorelines. Sampling point co-ordinates for are in three to six figure Irish National Grid. For data access, please contact the data center. [Summary provided by Geo-ID]
