Summary
Abstract: To consolidate tree regeneration records and to schedule
periodic remeasurements to enable the refining of Allegheny
hardwood forest regeneration guidelines.


Collection Organization: USDA-FS - Northeastern Forest
Experiment Station

Collection Methodology: Data are collected on regeneration
sample plots (6 foot radius or mil-acre) within each treated
forest stand. The data include: tree seedling counts by species
and size class, herbaceous ground cover, and total height of
tallest stems of selected species.

Collection Frequency: 1 pre-treatment, post-treatment at 2, 5,
10 and 20 years.

Update Characteristics: The data set is not updated in its
entirety.

STATISTICAL INFORMATION:

Thousands of records, 40 fields per record; about 1 MB storage
size.
