Quality The conductivity/salinity data collected by the FSI were regarded by Rosenberg as poor. Investigation revealed sensitivity of measurements to the orientation of the instrument housing and therefore, the absolute value of the salinity is suspect. The salinity can however be used for understanding the vertical profile.

The data are accurate to 100-250 metres horizontally, less than 1 metre vertically and hourly to daily temporally.
