Entry ID:
CDA_AR_GEO_MICPALEO_DIATOM_DATA
Summary
Abstract:
Instituto Antartico Argentino Antarctic Data Base describes about
3,000 samples of Mesozoic-Cenozoic diatoms obtained from sedimentary cores. Most of the diatoms indicate Holocene-Late Pleistocene fresh water, brackish and shallow marine environments. The samples are from sedimentary cores obtained in lakes located in the South Shetland Islands and Patagonia (southernmost South America). Late Mesozoic-Early Cenozoic marine diatoms were sampled from piston cores obtained in the Scotia Sea and northern Weddell Sea. Geographic Coverage
