Quality Quality assurance procedures are currently being performed, proofing the database against the published book upon which the database was developed. It is expected that any corrections needed will be incorporated in Version 2 of the database.

Positional Accuracy: The distributions were divided into a maximum of 48 polygons. Arbitrarily chosen points, about the centroid of each polygon, is provided for each record that occurred in each polygon.
Access Constraints To view constraints placed on dataset, please see Policy and Disclaimer section (from the panel on the left) on OBIS-USA web site (www.usgs.gov/obis-usa).
