Abstract:
This data set consists of digital multibeam bathymetry data collected by the
Geological Survey of Canada (Atlantic). Multibeam bathymetry surveys use sonar to map the seafloor. Sound is transmitted toward the seabed in beams formed using an array of piezoelectric transducers. As the vessel moves through the water, the acoustic signals or "pings" bounce back off the seabed ...
