The Mawson Station image mosaic was produced using ERDAS Imagine software. The photography consisted of 2 runs and 3 photos which were: ANTC10921 Run 0 Frames 5 flown on 18/03/1996, and ANTC1100 Run 6 frames 5 and 7 flown on 18/03/2001.
The scanned images were triangulated with ERDAS OrthoBase Pro. The RMS achieved was 0.15m for X, 0.25 for Y and 0.10m for Z. Ortho photography was then created using a DTM derived from contours supplied by the Australian Antarctic Data Centre. The images were colour balanced and mosaiced covering the entire Mawson Station area.
