Summary
Abstract:
The NOAA Geostationary Satellite Server offers real-time GOES 10 and
GOES 12 weather satellite imagery. The images are broken down into Infrared, Visible, and Water Vapor wavelengths. Separate satellite images are available for the following spatial zones: Eastern Coninental United States, Western Continental United States, Puerto Rico, Alaska, and Hawaii. The format for the single frame images is JPG. Users may also view satellite movies for the Eastern and Western Continental United States in MPEG format. Images are archived for the past 21 days. An extended archive of GOES satellite imagery is available from the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) in Asheville, North Carolina.
