Summary
Abstract: The U.S.D.A. Agricultural Research Service (ARS) has measured hydrologic
conditions in the Little Washita Watershed in southwestern Oklahoma since 1961.
In 1994, the ARS began monitoring the meteorological conditions in this
watershed with an automated 42-station network called the ARS Micronet.

Quality `Automated quality assurance (QA) software developed by the Oklahoma
Mesonet provides an efficient means to sift through over 500,000
observations ingested daily. To complement the automated QA, a
meteorologist trained in advanced QA techniques and procedures reviews
data daily. QA flags are stratified (0="good", 1="suspect", 2="warning",
and 3="failure") so that users can decide the level of QA they prefer.
Access Constraints Monthly Summaries of ARS Micronet data are available online here. The daily
climate data are contributed by the Agricultural Research Service, Grazinglands
Research Laboratory, El Reno, OK. The data are provided for the 42 ARS Micronet
stations in the Little Washita River Watershed. The data consist of accumulated
rainfall, relative humidity, air temperature at 1.5 m, solar radiation, and
soil temperature at 5, 10, 15 and 30 cm below ground surface.
