Summary
Abstract:
Factors influencing the development and survival of Adelie penguins were investigated from the Cape Bird colony. The fieldwork focused on aspects of vocal recognition but parental care and chick development were also considered. A total of five sub-colonies (three experimental and two control) were selected. Eight focal nests, four center nests (at least three nests from the edge) and four edge ...

The investigator has GPS data from the 2002/2003 season for each of the sub-colonies and colonies visited (Cape Bird - North, Middle, South, Cape Royds & Cape Crozier). GPS data was downloaded and is stored digitally in her possession. All the penguin calls recorded are stored both on the original tapes at University of Auckland or digitally in the investigators possession. All feathers sampled for sex analysis are stored in the -80 degree freezer at the University of Auckland or were destroyed after analysis. All behavioural data is either in digital format (stored on the University of Auckland's server) or in notebooks in her possession.
Otherwise, all data is contained within the PhD thesis. Data Set Progress
