The distribution of terrestrial invertebrates at Cape Hallett
Entry ID:
K140_2002_2003_NZ_1
Summary
Abstract:
A survey of the terrestrial invertebrates of the ice free areas at Cape Hallett was conducted over three spatial scales: 1) A site-wide survey of the soil and under-stone arthropods of the Cape Hallett Ice-free area; 2) An elevational survey of the distribution of mites (combined) and springtails (Collembola, identified to species) on the algal flats and scree slope at Cape Hallett and 3) the identity, abundance and distribution of arthropods across a 24 m transect in spring and summer. The data set contains the identity, abundance and distribution details for all the arthropods at Cape Hallett.
