Distribution data and samples of non-marine algae for culture and DNA analysis to determine evolution and dispersal of algae along a latitudinal gradient
Entry ID:

Summary
Abstract:
Algae populations at different points on a latitudinal gradient within the Ross Sea sector were investigated. At Cape Hallett, the distribution of the different algal communities were mapped by a survey of the area in 10 m x 10 m squares to encompass the area studied previously (1963). The maps were scanned to produce and electronic layered map of each community type.Temperature, pH and electrical ...

Access Constraints
If the samples are wanted to be transeferred from Landcare Research, the receiving lab needs to have the necessary containment certification (i.e. PC2 containment) and transfers have to be done according to MAF protocol. Supply of material is only available by the investigators permission and knowledge.
