Abstract:
A bathymetric map of Lake Fryxell was completed by drilling 28 holes through the floating ice and mapping the lake bottom. 13 cores were collected. The lake benthic sediment was cored for investigation. Three long cores were obtained from depths between 40 and 65m at Lake Vanda. 17 cores were sampled from Don Juan Pond.
