Gridded Visible and Infrared Scanner (VIRS) Level 1 Calibrated Radiance Products (TRMM Product G1B01)
Entry ID:
GES_DISC_TRMM_G1B01_V6
Summary
Abstract:
The Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) is a joint U.S.-Japan satellite mission to monitor tropical and subtropical precipitation.
The Visible/Infrared Scanner (VIRS) Radiance Gridded Orbital data are a special product derived from the TRMM standard product, VIRS Radiance (1B-01), and mapped to a 0.25 degree x 0.25 degree latitude/longitude grid. The spatial coverage is defined by a 720 km swath bounded by the latitudes 38 degree N and 38 degree S for a single satellite orbit. The parameters included in this data set are the scene radiance data for the five VIRS channels.
