Effects of Temperature, Photoperiod and Myxobolus cerebralis Infection on Growth, Reproduction and Survival of Tubifex tubifex Lineages
Entry ID:
MSU_19
Summary
Abstract:
Monocultures of lineages III and VI from 2001 San Juan River collections were subjected to infection (0 and 500 myxospores/worm), a range of temperature (5oC, 17oC, and 27oC), and diurnal photoperiod (12:12, 14:10 and 16:8 dark:light) over a 70-d period using a split-split plot experimental design.
Purpose: The objective of our research was to characterize the responses of two lineages of T. tubifex found in the San Juan River tailwater studies (DuBey and Caldwell 2004) to a range of photoperiod and thermal regimes and determine if infection by M. cerebralis would affect growth and survival of lineages. Quality
Quality check of data currently underway. The laser scanner has a range precision in the centimetre scale, and the INS data will be differentially post-processed to provide a centimetre scale location precision.
Both INS and laser scanner datasets are in raw format. An included software program is available to read the INS data, but there is no accompanying program for the laser scanner data at this time. It is anticipated that these datasets will be available in ASCII format in the near future. A pdf excerpt from the laser scanner user instructions is also included in the download file.
