This experiment began in 1985. The site was previously a native
eucalypt forest, but has been a Pinus radiata plantation for 47 years. There are four treatments as follows: 1) Slash and litter retained at harvest. 2) Litter only retained. 3) Litter only retained and ploughed. 4) Slash and litter removed.
