Abstract: A Climatology of Northern Utah for the 2002 Winter Olympics is a technical report prepared by and available from the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC). This 26-page report describes the climatology for the venues of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, along with other areas of northern Utah. The report includes a climatological narrative; nine data tables/summaries showing the February means and extremes for temperature, precipitation, snowfall, and snow depth; and six contoured analyses of temperature, snowfall, and snow depth. The report is based on data going back as much as 109 years. The user can download a free PDF file of this report, or order the complete report to be sent by mail.
Purpose: To make a wide range of climatic data available to researchers and the public.
