Summary
Abstract:
The National Climatic Data Center has, in archive, a number of unpublished standard radiosonde summaries prepared by the what was then the U. S. Air Force Air Weather Service, Environmental Technical Applications Center (ETAC), for selected stations worldwide, for various time periods between the early 1940s and the late 1980s. Summaries include monthly, seasonal, and annual percentage frequency distribution tabulations of height (meters), temperature (Deg. C), relative humidity (%), and wind (direction to 16 points of the compass, speed in knots) if available, for the 850-, 700-, 500-, 300- and 200- millibar constant pressure levels.
Purpose: To make a wide range of climatic data available to researchers and the public. CURRENTNESS REFERENCE: Ground Condition Pricing is dependent on customer order specifications. Please contact NCDC for information on fees and terms for retrieving the Data Set or Product.
