Summary
Abstract:
The Heat Budget-10 Year dataset is a subset of the Seasonal Heat Budget dataset. There are four fields per day mapped into a Mercator array and three 9 track 6250 BPI CCT's contain 10 years of non-contiguous data. The 10-year period includes data from June 1974 through March 1978 (which uses the VHRR instrument from NOAA-3, 4 and 5), and January 1979 through February 1986 (uses the AVHRR instrument on TIROS-N series).
Purpose: To make a wide range of climatic data available to researchers and the public. CURRENTNESS REFERENCE: Ground Condition
