Summary
Abstract:
The data set consists of -simultaneous- measurements of both
mesospheric and thermospheric winds, kinetic temperatures, and emission brightness of the tracers used in the measurements. The measurements are made at 8 evenly-spaced longitudes and the geographic zenith. Each measurement is about 3-5 minutes long, depending on the local brightness of the tracers being measured. The data set provides date, UT-time, direction, temperature, wind and relative brigtness. This applies to the two mesospheric and thermospheric winds. These data are complementary to our New Zealand data (Mount John), which is also found at the CEDAR database website.
