Abstract:
Travel with scientists to the Sierra Nevada Mountains in
California, the Navajo National Monument in New Mexico, and the forests of Tasmania to study ancient chronicles of environmental change. Color photos depicting dendrochronological techniques, including tree coring in the field, sample preparation, cross-dating, standardization, and chronology building. Photos and graphics of tree physiology as well as climatic interpretations derived from tree ring data. Purpose: Paleoclimatic Research
