Geological map of sedimentation by running water and intense wind activity in Trudge Valley, Allan Hills
Entry ID:
K042_2001_2002_NZ_2
Summary
Abstract:
While working in the Allan Hills, two canyons on the south side of Trudge Valley were observed to have distinct traces of sedimentation by running water, topped by intense wind activity. The presence of running water was the interesting as the air temperature in the Allan Hills is assumed not to ever reach above zero degrees Celsius. These processes were observed throughout the area and their distribution was mapped within the two canyons as well as related features in Trudge Valley.
