Abstract: Daily VIRR Sea Ice Product:

Sea ice daily product includes daily sea ice image product and daily sea ice coverage grid product.Daily sea ice image product uses FY-3 VIRR data to derive sea ice cover information and produce the global sea ice cover image in the region of 10°×10° around the world in day time. The resolution is 0.01°.Daily sea ice coverage grid product uses FY-3 VIRR daily sea ice cover data to calculate the sea ice coverage and produce the sea ice coverage grid product in the region of 1800×3600 around the world in day time. The resolution of a grid is o.1°.

Purpose: Daily VIRR Sea Ice Product:

FY-3 VIRR Sea ice product can be used in climate prediction, climate changing and environment changing research. It also can be used for ocean transportation, oil production safety in ocean, etc.
