Summary
Abstract: Tephrabase is a database of tephra layers found in Iceland, north-west Europe and central Mexico. Tephra refers to all of the solid material produced from a volcano eruption. The study of tephra layers from present and past volcanism is an important contribution to research on the impact of volcanic activity on climate change. The study of tephra layers can also be used a chronological tool ... View entire text
