Radar sounding data of the ice sheet in the vicinity of the Dome Fuji highest point, during the JASE traverse 2007/2008
Entry ID:
NIPR_JASE_23
Summary
Abstract:
To better map the ice thickness and bedrock topography in the vicinity of Dome Fuji, radar sounding measurements were done in the vicinity of Dome Fuji. Two-day long ground based measurements were done using VHF 60 MHz radar and POL 179 MHz radar. Coverage area was eastern side of the Dome Fuji deep drilling site. The entire length of the measurement line was ~180 km. Ice thickness data are to be extracted.
