45-500 micron iron oxide major and trace element abundanceEntry ID: Holocene_LGM_diamict_FeOxides
Abstract: This data set contains major and trace element abundance for individual iron oxide grains extracted from glacial-marine Antarctic sediment. Fe-oxides were picked from the 45-500 micron fraction of diamict and sandy mud units recovered in sediment cores from around the Antarctic continental margin. Study areas include the Getz Ice Shelf region, the western Antarctic Peninsula, Larsen Ice Shelf region, George V Coast, Pyrdz Bay, and Mac. Robertson Land.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to construct an integrated set of provenance tracers for different sectors of Antarctica.
