Tropical Land Temperature Anomaly Time Series, 1851-June 1997
Entry ID:
JISAO_TROP_LAND_ANOMALY
Summary
Abstract:
The University of Washington Joint Institute for the Study of the
Atmosphere and Ocean (JISAO) offers a Tropical Land Temperature Anomaly Time Series for the years 1851-1997. ENSO tends to warm the tropics, and this index captures this tendency over the land regions. The average is taken over 30N-30S, GM-120E and 150E-GM, so excluding New Guinea. The data was provided by Phil Jones of the Unversity of East Anglia. This data may be freely downloaded from the JISAO WWW site.
