Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer (TOMS) Ozone and Reflectivity Data and Images from METEOR-3
Entry ID:
TOMS_METEOR3
Summary
Abstract:
Nearly identical to the Nimbus-7 TOMS instrument, a second TOMS
instrument was launched on-board the Russian Meteor-3 (Meteor 3-5) spacecraft in 1991. The Meteor-3/TOMS had been collecting concurrent ozone data with the Nimbus-7 TOMS until the Nimbus-7 TOMS failed in May 1993. The METEOR-3 TOMS data consists of ozone data in Dobson Units and refelectivity. METEOR-3 TOMS data is available from http://ozoneaq.gsfc.nasa.gov/measurements.md and consists of north pole, south pole, and daily global 3-map composites as well as ASCII data. Nimbus-7, EP-TOMS and ADEOS TOMS data are also available from: http://ozoneaq.gsfc.nasa.gov/
