Orbit Track Nitric Oxide Density Profiles from the Solar Mesosphere Explorer (SME)
Entry ID:

Summary
Abstract:
The SME orbit track nitric oxide data sets were derived from radiance
measurements made by the UV ozone spectrometer at 2650.7 and 2964.3 Ang. The nitric oxide densities are given on altitude surfaces from 100 to 160 km at 3-1/3-km intervals. There are two sets of data, one on a grid of magnetic latitudes and the other on geographic latitudes. Each set contains 19 altitude levels and 37 latitudes, ranging from 90 S to 90 N in 5 degree increments. Each set also includes longitudes and solar zenith angles. There are three tapes each for the entire set of orbital track nitric oxide data on magnetic and geographic latitude grids, respectively, covering the period January 6, 1982 through December 11, 1986.
