Ultraviolet radition from 290-450 nm with a high precision spectro-radiometer

Abstract: A high precision spectro-radiometer measuring total ultraviolet radiation from 290-450 nm was installed at Arrival Heights as a two month blind inter-comparison with the established measurement programme run by Biospherical Instruments for the USAP. The ultraviolet spectro-radiometer uses a similar technique to the other grating spectrometers but has a greater emphasis on stability and absolute calibrations. It gathers light with a Teflon diffuser that has a full hemispheric field of view and is designed to give as close as possible to the 'cosine response' required to measure total downward light flux. The data was compared with the USAP data taken simultaneously.
