Magnetic properties of East Antarctic Margin dropstonesEntry ID: EAM_dropstone_magnetics
Abstract: This data set contains paleomagnetic and rock magnetic properties of dropstones recovered in sediment cores and dredges along the East Antarctic Margin. Parameters include bulk susceptibility, natural remanent magnetization, hystersis parameters, and Curie temperatures.
Paleo Temporal Coverage
Paleo Start Date: 12,000 ybp
Paleo Stop Date: 0 ybp
ISO Topic Category
Quality Susceptibility was measured on an AGICO KLY4 Kappabridge at Montclair State University. Hysteresis parameters (in progress) are measured on a Princeton Measurements Corp. 3900-04C vibrating sample magnetometer. NRM was measured on a 2G cyrogenic magnetometer at Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory.
