Summary
Abstract: Concentration of ozone in the surface air was measured on the summit
of Mt. Tsukuba (36deg. 13min. N, 140deg. 06min. E, alt. 868m), Japan,
during the period of Apr. 1986 to Apr. 1993. Ozone concentration was
determined by UV photometry. Monthly averaged ozone concentrations
ranged from 20 -> 55ppb. Seasonal variation was observed: high
concentration appeared in spring and in fall. The "two-peak" variation
pattern observed for ozone concentration is similar to the seasonal
variation pattern of the cosmogenic 7Be concentrationin the surface
air.
