Abstract: This volunteer team, later dubbed "The Insomniacs", was made up of
boat groups from various organizations in the Rhode Island and Massachusetts
area with an interest in water quality issues in Narragansett Bay and its

Purpose: Summertime distribution of low oxygen in water column of upper half of
Narragansett Bay, RI USA, is measured. Surveys occur monthly June-Sept.
Surveys have occurred since 1999-present.
