Entry ID:
OSDPD0042
Summary
Abstract:
The Class 1 GOSSTCOMP SST Observations (EDS.CONVET) tape is generated for the
U.S. Navy Fleet Numerical Weather Center (FNWC) in Monterey, California. The tape is received by the U.S. Navy from its office in Wing 3 of the Federal Office Building (FOB #4) Complex, Suitland, Maryland. This is a CDC compatible tape containing one documentation record followed by a variable number of data records and terminated by a single end-of-file. All records are 3840 bytes in length. Each data record contains 255 SST observations with the exception of the last data record which will not generally have 255. Any unused space in the last data record is zero filled. Each observation consists of 8 15-bit words. Geographic Coverage
