Abstract:
The Malacology Holotype List includes all of the primary types housed in the FLMNH Collection. In addition to these holotypes, the FLMNH Malacology Collection has numerous lots of paratypes, cotypes, syntypes and figured specimens. The list is arranged alphabetically by genus and then by species within each genus. Species and subspecies are listed in the genus in which they were originally described. The original citation and the current genus, if there has been a reassignment, are given in the Remarks Section of each entry. This database will be periodically updated as necessary. Support for the computerized curation of the Malacology Collection was provided by the University of Florida and the National Science Foundation. (Source: FLMNH) |
