Summary
Abstract: With an Application Development and Research Opportunity (ADRO) grant
from the Canadian Space Agency, the Johns Hopkins University Applied
Physics Lab acquired and processed SAR imagery from the RADARSAT
satellite for the time period May 19, 1996 to August 11, 1997. The
study area was the Coastal Mixing and Optics (CMO) area in the

Caption:  AVHRR image of the Coastal Mixing and Optics study area
Description:  AVHRR image of the CMO experimental area showing the position of the
mooring cluster and the ground swath of an ascending RADARSAT overpass
(red box) and a descending ERS-2 overpass (blue box). (The location of
the ground swaths for both satellites depends on the date and time of
the overpass.) The white numbers show the location of National Data
Buoy Center (NDBC) buoys in the area. The 200 m depth contour is also
shown in the image for reference. NOAA-14 AVHRR 1996 Mar 13.

Use Constraints The JHU APL web site of the Coastal Mixing and Optics (CMO) program is
maintained for the use of participants in the ONR-sponsored CMO
program. The contents of the site include raw data and preliminary
analyses which, pending publication, are considered properietary by
the program participants. The availability of these data and analyses
on the web site does not imply permission for anyone outside the
program to use these data. Permission must be obtained from ONR and
the individual investigator before anyone uses these data for research
purposes outside the scope of the CMO program.
