Severity of Infection in Rainbow Trout Exposed for Six Weeks Under Different Flow Rates
Entry ID:
MSU_12
Summary
Abstract:
Myxospores were introduced to artificial stream channels with different flow regimes (slow and fast). Rainbow trout sac-fry were added to each channel for a six-week exposure in order to assess differences in cumulative effects of severity of infection.
Purpose: These data were collected as part of a larger study designed to determine the infection efficacy of Myxobolus cerebralis under different flow regimes using a laboratory model. All data from the larger study will be used to inform a risk assessment model.
