Abstract: This data set is a collection of sensitive species observations
from Riverside County and western San Bernadino County, CA. The
primary purpose of the data set is to assist the County Planning
Department to identify sensitive areas during the environmental
review process. The GIS is also intended to be used by
researchers or other agencies, and UC Cooperative Extension
Collection ... Organization: Point and polygon observational data
are collected from environmental review documents at county
offices, regional museums records, and consultation with local
biologists. Additional names (i.e. vegetation, elevation) will
be added as needed.

Collection Frequency: Continuous.
Update Characteristics: New observations.
Currently about 5,000 records of 450 species; expanding by 100
records/month. Approximately 300 megabytes.
