Summary

Abstract: The Plumes and Blooms program seeks to understand the sources of
sediment plumes and phytoplankton blooms, as they relate to ocean
color and to the sediment geochronology of the Santa Barbara Basin.
This is critical for modeling the color of the sea and for the
interpretation of the sedimentary record.
