Abstract:
The 1 degree global land cover data set describes the geographic distributions of eleven major cover types based on interannual variations in Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) derived from the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) onboard NOAA polar orbiting satellites.
