Abstract:
The VEMAP Reference Data collection contains the following datasets:
Geography - elevation, area, and percent land area for each VEMAP grid-cell. Landcover - potential natural vegetation under current conditions. Soil modes - the number of dominant (modal) soils in each VEMAP grid-cell for which soils data are available. Note that the VEMAP1 published simulations were based on the mineral soil ... ![]()

Use Constraints
Use of the VEMAP dataset is subject to the following guidelines
and restrictions: (1) Users may confer with the NCAR VEMAP Data Group to ensure that the intended application of the dataset is consistent with the generation and limitations of the data. (2) To help us identify dataset errors or inconsistencies, we request that users contact the NCAR ... ![]() Ancillary Keywords
