Abstract:
The Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Services
(CIMSS) at the University of Wisconsin offers real-time and archived tropical cyclone products from it home page. The real-time products cover the North Atlantic, Western N. Pacific, Eastern N. Pacific, Australia, North Indian Ocean, and Global coverage. The real-time data are GOES-8, GOES-10, Meteosat 7, Meteosat-5, and GMS-5 derived winds and satellite imagery. The archived products cover hurricanes and tropical storms that occured during the 1999 tropical cyclone season. For each tropical storm and hurricane there are satellite derived winds, single frame satellite images, and movies.
