Summary

Abstract:
This map is a Simulated natural color seamless mosaic of portions of 445 Landsat Thematic Mapper Images. Image resolution has been resampled down to a pixel resolution of 142.5 meters. The uncompressed digital image is just under 2 gigabytes in size and is also available as a 58 megabyte compressed image in MrSid format. The purpose of this map is to provide a geodetically accurate simulated natural color backdrop image for GIS analyses. The imagery provides a 1990 baseline for geographic and cultural features across the continental United States Raster data information: Albers Equal Area Conic Projection The mosaic may be viewed and used vi ESRI's Geographic Network free of charge. The imagery may be purchased for $2500 for customer storage and use in either GeoTIFF or MrSID format. [Data information provided by Earth Satellite Corp.] |
