MODIS/Aqua Surface Reflectance Quality Daily L2G Global 1km SIN Grid V005Entry ID: MYD09GST5
Abstract: The MODIS Level-2G 1km surface reflectance data state QA (quality
assurance) product (MYD09GST) is a restructured version of its primary
input, the state QA data in MYD09_L2. This product summarizes the
quality of the MYD09 products, specifically atmospheric and other
correction states. The product contains quality assurance data
pertaining to cloud and cloud shadow, land and water designations,
... aerosols, and the data source of corrections performed on the
file. The data product contains three Science Data Sets (SDSs):
reflectance data state, quality assurance, and the number of
observations for each pixel.
Data Set Characteristics:
Area: ~10 degrees x 10 degrees lat/long
Image Dimensions: 1200 x 1200 rows/columns
File Size: 7 MB
Resolution: 1000 meters
Data Format: HDF-EOS
Science Data Sets (SDSs): 3
MODIS/Aqua Version-5 products are validated, meaning that product
uncertainties are well defined over a range of representative
conditions. Although there may be later improved versions, these data
are ready for use in scientific publications.
