Abstract:
The Irrigation Equipment Supply Database is a joint initiative of the Water Resources, Development and Management Service of FAO and the International Programme for Technology and Research in Irrigation and Drainage (IPTRID). It has been developed as part of FAO's mandate to provide information on irrigation. Potential beneficiaries of IES are those who need to locate information on irrigation equipment at regional or country level. IES seeks to establish an up-to-date list of Suppliers/Manufacturers providing irrigation equipment worldwide. National Suppliers/Manufacturers can be displayed by clicking the dark blue countries on the map. Moreover, the website offers a database query facility for identifying Suppliers/Manufactures providing specific irrigation equipment as well as a description of irrigation equipment, a description of standards and links to other related sites.
