Summary
Abstract: The coastal system boundary was derived by interpolating contours for -50 m and 50 m elevations from ETOPO2 grid data. The 50 m inland contour boundary was limited to a maximum inland distance of 100 km.

Purpose: To define the coastal zone for the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment (MA).
